SOUK Teachers’ Practice: VINYASA MASALA

In Ayurvedic cooking, a Masala is a blend of carefully curated spices, designed to be both delicious and medicinal. At SOUK, we call our more experienced Yogis “Seasoned Practitioners” for the depth of flavor they bring to their practice, built with time, discerning effort, and consistency.

Join Ali Cramer, Yoga teacher and Ayurvedic Practitioner, for five workshop classes for Yoga Teachers and Seasoned Practitioners highlighting the many “spices” in Vinyasa Flow Yoga.

In each session, we will explore the use of Mudra, Mantra, Kriya, Pranayama, creative ways to use props or partners, Meditation, the influence of music and the potency of silence. Expect flow sequences that are creative with a purpose, to spotlight a chakra and/or build to a peak pose, with all the add ons that create a delicious blend!

Learn some new tools or refresh some old favorites for your home practice or your own classes. Each class will have time at the end for breakdown and Q&A.

Instill Bondage Meditation Ceremony: A Journey into Surrender with Adam Lamb & Fahria Omar

Buy

Step into a guided ceremonial experience where breath, ritual, and stillness weave together in the art of surrender. This unique practice combines gentle bondage, meditation, and ceremonial elements to create a safe and supportive container for release.

The evening begins with a grounding entry ritual — participants are welcomed with a calming tea of blue lotus, chamomile, rose, and other heart-softening herbs. A light anointing with essential oils sets the intention of trust and surrender. Together, we will move through a guided breathwork practice designed to release tension and invite the body into softness.

From this place of openness, we enter the meditation practice. Through gentle binding and stillness, you are invited to rest deeply, to let go of control, and to experience the healing qualities of being safely held. The practice concludes with a careful unwinding, grounding breath, and integration circle, leaving you with a sense of spaciousness, release, and inner calm.

✨ This experience is open to all levels. No prior experience with bondage or meditation is required.
✨ All materials are provided. Please wear comfortable clothing that allows ease of movement.

ABOUT THE FACILITATORS:

Adam has taught yoga for over a decade, guiding students toward presence and self-connection. He developed Instill: Bondage Meditation, a calm, meditative practice using simple rope techniques to support stillness, release tension, and invite deeper trust in the body. His approach emphasizes safety, consent, and respect for each student, offering a grounded complement to traditional yoga.

Fahria is a plant medicine facilitator and ceremonialist with over eight years of experience guiding individuals through transformative inner journeys. With a background as a neuroscientist, meditation guide, and experience designer, she weaves together the science of neural plasticity with the art of ritual and embodiment. Her work bridges ancient wisdom and modern understanding of the mind, creating spaces where people can safely explore release, awareness, and transformation. Through breath, sensory experience, and ceremony, Fahria invites participants to reconnect with their innate capacity to heal, surrender, and expand.

Monthly KIRTAN with Dayal Gauranga & Friends

Buy

**This is a monthly event. Please see below for dates.**

Join us for a beautiful evening of kirtan, which is a call-and-response process where we chant the names of the divine, connecting ourselves to a higher spiritual power. We sing in kirtan with a common purpose of uplifting our consciousness via sacred sound and we share wisdom and stories from the yoga tradition that inspire us and give insight on how to navigate the challenges and circumstances that inevitably come in life. It doesn’t matter your background or level of experience. All that is required is an open heart and enthusiasm to connect to something beyond the material. All are welcome.

Dayal Gauranga has been on a spiritual journey leading kirtans and teaching spiritual wisdom for more than 20 years. At 18 years old, he became a monk and dedicated himself to a life of inner study, reflection, and service.  One year later he made his first trip to India and has since traveled back numerous times throughout the subcontinent, as well as to countries and communities around the world to learn, discover and share the richness of spiritual tradition that he has received. After 10 years of monastic life, he transitioned out of the monastery, met his wife Rasika, got married, and currently lives in Brooklyn with their dog Jiva. Dayal is the co-founder, along with his wife, of the Conscious Earth Institute, a spiritually based counseling, education, and training organization to help individuals heal from inner wounds in order to live life from a place of true Self.

In this workshop, we’ll take a deeper look at the hips through the lens of an Iyengar Yoga practice. Together, we’ll blend basic anatomy with standing, supine, and forward bending poses to bring greater ease and connection to the hips, low back, and pelvis.

We’ll explore:

  • The structure and alignment of the hip joint and how it functions in a practice

  • Practical ways to create both spaciousness and freedom while accessing the strength and stability our hips provide

  • Techniques to release stored stress and unlock mobility

You’ll discover how to work with your hips in a way that supports your whole body, leaving with an understanding of how to reduce discomfort, increase mobility, and feel more grounded and energized.
