SOUK Flow (65min)
An invigorating class priming you for Strength & Sensitivity!
Begin with breath-led Sun Salutations, move into a vigorous sequence with strength building, body-opening postures and a few twists and turns along the way. Close with a restful shavasana.
The resulting awakening of the spine will render your body alert and intuitive. You will leave feeling strong, energized and clear.
Align & Flow – IYENGAR (75min)
Suited for practitioners of all ages and levels of practice, this class is a great opportunity to learn the foundational actions of Iyengar Yoga and how alignment improves range of motion and flexibility. The class offers a dynamic approach to standing postures, back arches, forward bends, twists and inversions (such as shoulder stand).
By alternating from supine to standing and seated postures, giving the practitioner different vantage points from which to relate to the dynamics of a pose.
With a greater understanding of your body in a posture, you will experience increased confidence and courage. This is a foundational class that offers an invigorating workout geared towards beginners and seasoned practitioners alike.
VINYASA (75min or 90min)
Welcoming practitioners of various fitness & lifestyle routines, this medium intensity class seamlessly transitions you from one posture to the next working & stretching in equal measure arms, legs, hips, glutes, front & back body. Poses in this multi-level class are weaved together in a rhythmic manner through the incorporation of breath at every level of the practice.
With no more than 3 postures to a side, the sequences are well balanced so as not to fatigue muscles and overload joints – thus keeping the mind vibrant and continuously aware of its potential.
Expect to feel the power of your breath while developing full body strength and stability.
SOUK Prop and Flow (75min)
This carefully sequenced vinyasa flow enables you to release control to a movement practice that shifts mind+body connection and invigorates our collective spirit.
Expect music, repetition, and creativity to reach a more advanced awareness of body, mind and purpose – and experience the beauty of how props enable us to thread one pose into the next. The foundations of Katonah Yoga™ as well as some structural alignment work, are used in class as a basic structure toward fluidity and ease.
SOUK Power Hour (65min)
Join us for a weekend kick-off power hour of vigorous vinyasa-style yoga open to practitioners of all levels.
This class moves at a faster but still accessible pace to sync breath with movement, and includes standing poses, twists, balancing āsanas, side bends, backbends, and core work to engage your whole body & mind.
