Shanna Honkomp

Jivamukti Yoga

Shanna Honkomp is an 800-hour Certified Jivamukti Yoga Teacher. Shanna was introduced to yoga asana during her years in university, and in 2007 became fully immersed in the true power of the practice at the Jivamukti Yoga School. She completed her 300-hour Certification in 2011 and completed her 800-hour Apprenticeship in 2013 under the irreproachable guidance of Monica Jaggi.

Shanna teaches all levels of students as well as facilitates various 200-hour teacher trainings across the broader New York yoga community.  She is known for thoughtful, safe and creative sequencing, for breaking down challenging asanas to make them more accessible, for lovingly curated playlists, and for her warmth and inclusivity as a teacher. In her classes she strives to meet students exactly where they are in their own practice. Shanna brings students the opportunity to uncover their own strength, resilience, grace, and quietude.
